I actually know exactly what this is! It's from either the store Justice (clothing store) or Claire's like they said and if memory serves me they were called phone jackets...they were sold from around 2008-2011! This one I remember seeing in Justice around 2008-9 specifically

When I was a kid I "stole" a tiny figure from a daycare I went to but everyday I brought it back and put it away for others to play with. At the end of the year an adult who I didnt know even noticed told me since I was so kind about it, I could have her 😭

I feel SO guilty I don't post pictures of my dolls more often. Life is insane for me at the moment and I never get them looking exactly how I want, etc. But I enjoy them all every day I just wish I could share that here more often 💔

It's exactly this aspect I miss of her fashion. It's the high concept larger than life ideas that were functional as a toy but also beautiful. I think having some cute realistic outfits is nice but what happened to fantastical yet trendy?

I think even if I stop actively seeking out new releases and sell a good chunk of them I'll always pick up a favorite new release or stop by the isle and check in. It's just always been a part of me i can't imagine that just going away

Basically Barbie & Takara were teamed up then that kind of fell off so they decided to make Mattel-Bandai partnership instead (MaBa) and for a short timed produced Barbie with Bandai instead. MaBa Barbie is one of my favourite Barbie "eras" and I love her face so much 🥺💓
