Not sure, but you can’t compare the rebuilds from that time frame. One game plan compared to at least three. One voice compared to at least three. All have different ideas. Nicks has nailed it, but took 6 years. Clarko has had 2.5 years at best.

Not a fair take at all. In the time period you are comparing. Crows have done an outstanding job, but had Nicks at the helm the whole time. Roo’s have had Shaw, Noble, Clarkson (with Adams & Ratten in there as well) . I think 6 years under Clarkson and they will play finals.

The scheduling and fixture this weekend is absolutely shit-house. Double header tonight - Sunday is garbage and the showdown is not a standalone. Anyone agree?.

Higher talent per game. Better coaches to develop players. National reserves competition - revenue. Less games over at half time - increasing ad spend. Population growth doesn’t mean elite AFL talent is growing at same rate. I could go on but I am just a boomer.
How are we still doing this boomer take in year 2025.

20 teams would destroy the AFL… . Some games unwatchable now. Ruthless but go to 16 teams and relocate a couple of Victorian teams. Draft and recruit ready made players, less project players - let them develop in academies and state leagues. Better product, more enjoyable.

I sincerely hope, the @AFLPlayers come out in staunch defense of the 2 players who have been attacked online because of this story. You want to protect mental health, here is a perfect opportunity to make a stance.
