The Rock Hill Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at the Galleria Mall. The shooter is in custody and there is no threat to the public. There will be a increased police presence visible while the investigation is being conducted.

Tomorrow, the Charlotte Region Urban Area Security Initiative, along with dozens of partner agencies, will conduct large-scale emergency response training at Carowinds from October 7 to 9. Expect visible police, fire, and EMS presence in the area from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Rock Hill Police Department will be conducting training at the Rock Hill Galleria Mall today, September, 24 from 7 PM - 9 PM. You may hear simulated gun fire and see a large police presence during this time. Do not be alarmed, as this is a scheduled training exercise.

There was a heavy police presence on Galleria Point Circle in reference to taking a subject into custody who would not exit his home. The situation has been peacefully resolved, and the subject is in custody without incident.
