Astros 📝 -Lots of superficial thinking among talking heads. -Great blast by Pujols; sure. Next game: -Roy Oswalt goes 7 IP/1 R/3 H/6 K -Qualls and Wheeler close the deal. -Astros legend Lane HR. Astros move on…Cardinals go home and fish. Bugger off cretins. lol #Astros

Astros 📝 -This could certainly put the Astros over the top in the AL West. -With Pearson’s prowess on the mound, there’s no stopping them. -Now, all kidding aside, he has elite FB velo and arm extension. No doubt the Astros pitching gurus see something.

lol. With the ownership you have, your hyperactive throw-the-gooey froggy at the bathroom mirror GM, and a fanbase that puts shoes on top of their heads… Give me Jim Crane and Yordan Alvarez every f*cking day of the week. Enjoy it now…history firmly indicates it won’t last.

Well, Yankees are eliminated…again. -The fanbase will blame Boone, however, IMO, the one constant during this NOT winning a World Series streak? Brian Cashman and to a lesser extent, Hal Steinbrenner. -Roster construction is absolutely “a thing”.

MLB has been wanting (& waiting for) this for years. -Judge (& the NYY) just hasn’t performed. -He’s been the best hitter in mlb for years but until now, just hasn’t had great postseasons. -FWIW…his playoff line vs Astros: 17 GP 65 AB 25 SO 4 HR 9 RBI .200/.288/.415/.703

No shocker here. -Can you question both pertaining to 2025 performance? Sure. -If you watched the games and kept track of all relevant data, neither rank high on the culpability list. -Having said that, the default setting for many fans typically is “blame the manager”. -Meh 4me.

-Some inaccurate info has been shared recently by a couple dudes lately. -The MLB CBT for 2026 is $244M. -The Astros approx projected payroll (as of today) is ~$221.7M. -Astros are ~$22.3 under the CBT. -I’d expect a few arb elig won’t be tendered. -Look for a couple trades.

That's an estimated $66.7 million due to the 16 arbitration-eligible Astros, per @mlbtraderumors, which tends to do a very good job with these projections - https://t.co/YPMQUq1tv7
