Congratulations to @karentodner and @QEBHW my lawyers for winning global most important court case of the year. Under duress I went with them to Washington for the ceremony despite fearing arrest. I’m pleased I did! Well done guys!

Earlier this month, I attended a fascinating event at the Law Society that discussed Tom Hayes and the grave miscarriage of justice he suffered. Tom Hayes spent 5 years in jail, his conviction was overturned in July by the Supreme Court. https://t.co/P58cmbpTOZ

It’s amazing the IBOR traders got sent to prison for breaking rules made retrospectively 10 years after the event but people who break actual rules can just dismiss it as an oversight…
Failing to sign up to a landlord licensing scheme is not a minor oversight. Important not to minimise what Reeves did. Licensing exists to protect tenants and professionalise renting. Also to keep track of who’s who in a sector full of problems. Chancellor should have checked.

The great Stan Bowles and his betting shop story. You don’t see characters in today’s game like Stan. He was a maverick on and off the pitch! RIP Stan Bowles

I was broken and broke when I was released. I was blessed that my partner Aimee stood by me in those really trying times and we were gifted with a miracle baby against the odds. Filing this claim marks the beginning of the end as we finally move on with post Libor life with Themy

Lord Bingham is on the money. Unqualified experts are the worst as they hid their ignorance behind a facade of infallibility. To wit the unqualified expert in the Libor trials who did so with the knowing imprimatur of the SFO.
Ld Bingham on expert witnesses The more truly learned a man is the more ready he is likely to be to admit ignorance and acknowledge inability to provide a perfect solution. It is often the superficial expert or the charlatan who offers the most confident and comprehensive answer.

I enjoyed recording this with Charlie Faulkner, Sir Nicholas Moysten and Baroness Kennedy. One for the legal enthusiasts!

Jesus wept. We are now spending money on infrastructure when long end rates are the highest in 30 years. This should have begun 5 years ago when we could have borrowed to invest at 30yr rates that would now have been at a negative real yield for the government.
New roads, railways, airports and reservoirs are coming to Britain, and they are coming soon. That’s national renewal.

So proud and pleased for @karentodner and counsel from @QEBHW . They’d be worthy winners and their work laid the foundations for another 5 exonerations too.
The successful appeal of Tom Hayes has been shortlisted as case of the year by Global Investigations Review. Delighted.

The Supreme Court ruling in my case may have given the CCRC the courage to use this power for the first time. A fascinating legal argument that was also blocked from a Supreme Court hearing by the CACD. In this case the CCRC said take another look.

A few days ago probation called to ask why I had missed my appointment. I told them my convictions had been overturned. Today they wrote to me to officially set me free. I think I’ll frame this!

The shoe is on the other foot now. Many of the same FBI/DOJ people that prosecuted me 2015-2022 are now under investigation. Comey, McCabe to name a few. Someone asked me what I would tell them: If you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to be worried about. Good luck.

It was great to hear directly from @robilypj about how he was treated. Amazingly after spending 5+ years in jail as an innocent man, he is NOT entitled to any compensation. https://t.co/3QKdwOxoeJ BTW Andy, your book 'Rigged' - got a notable mention
