Two years ago we moved. One of the things I appreciate about our new home is the peace and quiet. On mornings like this, the bird songs (and a fairly barely dog) dominate the airwaves. In the evening, the frog chorus sings us to sleep. We still hear civilization, but it’s faint.

After two weeks of planning and prepping for the new school year, my first as a VP, a couple of days at the Alders Beach Resort (just north of Comox) is a wonderful way to recharge.

Well the day is done, and I’m happy to say that the seeds of new relationships have been planted with students and staff. Some may have come at the expense of being hit in the face by a dodge ball, but well worth it!
