The way to develop taste is simple Continually ask yourself: how does this make me feel? Do I like it? Why or why not?

Don’t you just love when YouTube decides there’s some random ass video you just have to see that it relentlessly pushes into your recommended until you cave in and watch the darn thing

People who aren’t good at setting boundaries secretly resent everyone for crossing them as though they should have just known Get comfortable with letting people know where your boundaries are, it doesn’t make you an asshole, it makes you a happier person to be around 🤷‍♂️

It takes as much discipline to stop as to start Discipline to put down the pen when you know you could keep going, but saving it for tomorrow to keep a sustainable pace Your ego is always whispering ‘keep going we’re so close’ That mentality leads to burnout

There is no emotion, either your own or someone else’s, no matter how big it may seem, that you can’t deal with. Internalise that and you’ll be free.

We have 2 types of the word ‘to’ One for connecting: I went to the store And another for showing magnitude: I bought too many Tim tams Partition to do the same for ‘so’ Connecting: I said hi so it wouldn’t be awkward Magnitude: But it was soo awkward Tell me I’m wrong 🤷‍♂️

Most people hear discipline, and translate that as: “I need to be harder on myself” Thats not it. Discipline should come from kindness, not pushing your emotions away, recognising them. But choosing consciously to act in your best interests even if you feel like doing otherwise

A truly standout soundtrack is arguably one of the most important factors to an iconic film or franchise imo

FOMO is a terrible reason to post to social media. You’ll be constantly comparing yourself, worrying why you’re not getting the results someone else is Instead, go into it with a ‘why’ that actually means something to you, even if that’s just learning and making friends.

The challenge for creatives is being childlike, without being childish Maintaining the imagination and playfulness of a child Yet with the emotional maturity, discipline and focus of an adult Very few people possess both
