He was there most days during lockdown. He looked a really interesting character and I kept promising myself to take his photograph but I never did. This year I was determined to photograph him. However, at the beginning of the year the bench was empty and we never saw him again.

We take a walk in Llandaff Fields every morning. For several years we passed an elderly man sitting on a bench at the Pontcanna end of the park. I and no idea who he was or what his story was. We often stopped to say hello, that’s if he hadn’t beaten us to it.
