BREAKING: Hillingdon Council’s Cabinet Member for Finance, Councillor Martin Goddard, has resigned from Cabinet. Cllr Goddard intends to stand down as a councillor at the 2026 elections.

All is not well at Hillingdon Council. Following damning reports from independent auditors, missing every financial target set, and applying for a government bailout to stave off bankruptcy, the Conservative finance chief has now resigned. It’s now time for a full review.
