Delighted to be one of the winners of the Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair 2025. I've worked on my novel for two years and this gives me a massive opportunity to try to get it published. Excited for what's next!

Jack Boyle is up to his old tricks again, and his wife Juno is at her wit's end! Meanwhile their son Johnny has a problem with local heavies, the IRA. As Jack and Joxer struggle to stay off the ales, it seems life in a 1920s Dublin tenement is not all it's cracked up to be!

Been generally on a break from "this hellsite" but just checking in to say I am okay and have been focusing on my men's mental health.

After a tepid start to the season, no doubt Big Jim Ratcliffe will be analysing his own performance, wondering if there's more he can do. Dilute the scrambled eggs in the staff canteen. Squeeze the toilet rolls so people use fewer sheets. He won't leave any stone unturned.

Ipswich will win a lot of fans this season. Then they'll see Ed Sheeran in the crowd and change their minds.

Mad that a film called Civil War made in 2024 seems to make more apolitical choices than political ones.

This final will only reignite the combine Galway and Armagh debate

Aside from it being a weird way to describe any country, the implications of it are also false. Ireland in the 80s had been independent for several decades.

Are we really just fine in a basically leftist literary publication with someone who isn't Irish describing Ireland as "an abused child"?

‘O’Connor intentionally undermined her pop world ascendancy by spurning the trappings of fame, and this attracted derision from those who could not understand the path she chose.’

Enjoyed all three seasons of The Bear, tho season three definitely way poorer, but in a show that points to food as love a lot it's really weird they choose to suggest Michelin star cooking is the heart of that idea.

Love the way pro sport reinvents itself with performers like Antoine Dupont
