An underrated piece of the Angels future. Walbert Urena has been clicking lately in AA with just 4 runs allowed over his last 16 IP and 15 Ks. Still need to see him settle into this pace, but with time he can develop into a real weapon for the Angels future rotation 🎯.

If the Angels sold all their rentals and some controllable contracts for hauls I would happily watch every game free from the neuroticism of living and dying on every single pitch and every game outcome.
@D1SCHER Genuine question- if Angels sold everyone and did everything you want, would you still watch and tweet about them everyday???. What reason would you have to watch them.?. They wouldn't be competitive and you wouldn't care to follow at that point. so you would retire then?.

Angels Luke Lacourse elaborations. “[In] college you're more competing for a spot than developing. That was a big part of my decision. When I head down to Tempe I'll be working on myself and not competing for innings already. That will be the best thing for my future.”.
Angels Luke Lacourse on entering pro-ball . "What excites me the most is the new technology for spin rate and pitch [. ] shape. I think they'll do a great job developing me. My overall repertoire will get much better. I can't wait to see what I am as a finished product.”.

The Angels filled a HUGE hole this draft by taking Missouri States 2B Nick Rodriguez, his presence immediately boosting the value of this org. by instilling a much needed (legit) power bat at 2B. Read on for full quotes by Rodriguez!. @AngelsWin.

The more I look into the Angels draft the more I'm convinced Ivan Tatis will be the big sleeper. Eye-popping power for a prep SS that comes off a quick, compact swing laid by fast hands through the zone. If he can hold his approach up he will take a lot of people by surprise.
Meet @GBSARays/@premier_sox 2025 SS IVAN TATIS JR from the Tatis Family in the DR 🇩🇴. Kid might be 1 of the Top 5 HS bats in this class. Kid's a sub 6.5 runner w/a strong arm. Very mature approach at the plate @BaseballAmerica @BenBadler @naaconference @JeredGoodwin3 #MLBDRAFT25

The Angels 2025 draft class was one for the ages; a shocking start led to a plethora of Day 2 value picks that may, or may not, offset some early reaches. A quick breakdown on each pick (with video!) so you can decide for yourself:. Are the Angels back?.

The Angels finish the draft by picking another low IP college arm, Sam Tookoian, with big upside. Leveraging upside against experience, which plays well with their strategy of spending big on prep. Another great draft league arm, 35.6% K% in 2024 (only 3 IP w/Ole Miss 2025).
Sam Tookoian (@WVBlackBears) has retired all 12 batters he's faced this summer with eight outs coming via the strikeout.👀. 𝐅𝐁: 94.3 mph (T96.5), 2431 rpm, 15.0" IVB, 1.8" HB.- 34.6% Whiff% / 31.8% Z-Whiff%. 𝐒𝐋: 83.5 mph, 2459 rpm, 0.4" IVB, -8.8" HB.- 45.5% Whiff% / 40%
