Day 10 of the IA Prog here in London. The class is working on describing additional charts beyond the basic ones. This group is preparing to explain the CUSUM chart, what is is, when to use it and why

We have moved the class to apply expert bubble blowing techniques, taught by me of course, and now they need to run 8 more tests of wand, solution, worker and training to see who is the best worker. Carry on…

Here in London with Amar Shah teaching planned experimentation to Wave 79 of the imp Advisor Prog. Got them started on designing a 2^4 PE to determine who can blow the most large bubbles! How many tests need to be run for a 2^4 design?

Day 9 here at the Singapore IA Prog. The class is making great progress on figuring out which Shewhart chart is most appropriate for different measures. Start by drawing the charts and data before Turing to the software. If you can’t do it on paper avoid the vapor!

Here in Singapore with Brandon Bennett teaching workshop 2 of the IHI Imp Advisor Prog. We have them figuring out which Shewhart chart to make with data from a clinic call center. These folks are great at making charts. Well done.

This afternoon here in Singapore we are addressing phase 2 of the diabetes collaborative. Introducing Will, Ideas and Execution along with the MFI, team chapters and a deeper dive into the Milestones in the Quality Measurement journey. Great people doing great work.

Learning about patient centered care from Dr Wong at Sing Health. The focus is on wellness not sickness. Hospital admission is a failure of the system! Health and wellbeing do not happen in the hospital but in the home and community.

Heading toward the end of Day 5 of the IA Wave 81. We are into creative thinking and Miriam from St Jude’s Research Hospital is explaining how they used the random word provocation to generate ideas about changes. The random word techniques is being tested with the class.
