The sc虛e:涩x史蓹y虛蓹m is one of the most productive k虛史sic虛 streams for its size in the Lower Fraser Valley. Through bank stabilization, removing invasive species and planting trees and shrubs along the s膰e:艂xw訖媒訖m, the Foodlands program is creating a robust riparian habitat.

Some populations of k虛史sic虛 are anadromous and spend summer months feeding in coastal waters before returning to freshwater. Unlike salmon, k虛史sic虛 are able to spawn multiple times, and their spawning season (late winter/early spring) is approaching now.

The Fraser is a lifeline for countless species, including iconic #PacificSalmon. What happens in the Fraser Headwaters directly impacts the Lower Fraser & vice versa. Disrupt this cycle, & it's not just salmon that suffer; our communities & nature do, too. https://t.co/Ya9qSzmf4I
