I still have immense social anxiety. I’m sorry to everyone if I’m overly thankful, or apologetic, I’m still trying to get my subconscious to catch up with my conscious on some of this stuff.

Smash is the first place I put myself out into a non-isolated community in 5 years. It is by far the thing that helped me overcome a lot of my trauma, and where I relearned how to interact with people, and how to TRUST people again. I still have extreme anxiety about it.

@WaddleDooSr I’m just a little odd on the way I think through this app. I often repost things on my mind, or if I think that makes more sense as a way to read smth than as a thread I’ll QRT it. Idrc if people see my shit or not, and am just as happy at a spreadsheet as I am in public 🤷♀️.

I really like doing this type of work, and do it in a lot of other parts of my life. I would LOVE to help out events doing this. Please let me know if you’re interested. There’s also many other folks who I can point you in the direction of, if you’d like other options!.

There’s a lot of room to improve the communication in the way events are run. A lot of events don’t have project managers separate from someone with other responsibilities. And many events at that scale should. 🤷♀️.
I think this opens a really important dialogue about the way events are run in the platform fighter scene and its something that has frustrated me for many years. everything feels last minute. communication is very 1 way. 1/?.

The hate/bullying problem goes beyond what happened yesterday. It's a cultural issue that needs to be addressed and changed before it is too late.
