However, recently, I see more people choosing products made locally. The “Make in India” campaign seems to have played a big part in this shift — in mindset, in manufacturing, and in confidence. It's a positive sign of progress.

Growing up, buying something "imported" felt it to be a more reliable product. Not imported from X or Y. Just imported. It was a general assumption that anything from "outside India" was better.

I love this meme because it actually holds the truth. Being useful, making things, engaging your talents, is for most men far more powerful than sitting down to talk about your feelings with a therapist. Avoiding therapy through meaningful, competent engagement is ace 👌

"Would you hire a person who would a put a metallic plate inside a microwave?" I've started asking this question from new recruits. This one is a doozy as it delves into the realms of privileges, empathy and second chances.

Our best chance of survival is to build it ourselves. However, to be clear, it's not our responsibility. No one is obligated.

It has to come from within. Statusbrew isn't going anywhere for sometime. And if we have to thrive, we need a strong local community of great talent, resources and willing partner companies.

It's not untrue. There is little willingness as Amritsar has never been a destination for tech talent. It's not even a destination for the locals. We look up to the model created by Indore. Their start-up and business community is thriving with many unicorns from their city.

The other day, I shared with a friend that we recently recruited and relocated talented team members from Chennai, Kochi and a few other cities to #Amritsar. He was surprised and didn't expect the willingness of people to move to our city.

On the other hand, the pursuit of becoming an influencer encourages the idea of relatively overnight success and quick fixes. It can instill a sense of entitlement and feeling of being a failure when you haven't already become famous.

STEM humbles you in many ways. It's difficult, and the results of your efforts are often delayed for many years. It exposes the mind to critical thinking and, with many failures along the way, teaches patience and the importance of long-term goals.
