It is also worth remembering that both grounded and fantastical Batmen can coexist. The hope now is that Gunn’s version finally gives the broader Batman mythos the justice it deserves, while letting Reeves do his separate, stylized noir take in peace.

And now James Gunn is giving us a different Batman who is meant to be fantastical, so we can actually get that comic book feeling/experience. We’re tired of watching grounded Batman movies again and again, and on top of that, you guys are pulling this drama. Just stop it. 2/2.
