Some nice play from City first half, second half was all about digging in. Some last-ditch defending to keep out Northampton, who offered plenty of effort but not a lot of quality. Ref more suited to a non-contact sport. Three wins from opening four league games for the Imps.

Goal… Wimbledon 2-0 Lincoln. City don’t deal with a corner and it’s rifled home. Wimbledon haven’t created much 11 v 10 but that should be that. Can’t fault City’s effort.

Goal… Wimbledon 1-0 Lincoln. Everything that could have gone wrong for City has so far. Jackson sent off and now the Imps behind after a penalty given for handball.

It was nice to chat with @MattChorley about some of the moments that stood out during my 12 years of covering Parliament for PA. Here’s a Brexit era clip from the chat, which was broadcast yesterday & available on this link (starts after 65 minutes):.

Sadly it does mean for the foreseeable tweets are likely to be exclusively on Lincoln City. On the plus side, the next season doesn't start for a few weeks so you're all spared for a bit.

Thank you to everyone that supported us in recent weeks as we tried to protect jobs and the commitment to properly report on the Commons and Lords. The team have been an absolute credit to themselves in difficult circumstances.

After 12 years, & almost nine as parliamentary editor, I'll be leaving PA's parliament team at the end of next week. The decision follows a really tough few weeks after the management proposed cuts to the team. Not sure what's next beyond a break, but it's a fresh opportunity.

Full-time: Leyton Orient 0-1 Charlton. Given I’ve watched Lincoln fail on their seven playoff attempts, I probably shouldn’t be allowed near them….
