A neat paper that does text-to-SVG using StableDiffusion and neural fields. Basic idea: generate an image with SD and then train a neural field to map indices {1, .., N} to tuples representing shape and fill color. The NF is trained in pixel space using a differentiable renderer

Phase behavior of Cacio and Pepe sauce tl;dr to avoid clumps, cook your pasta in a pan and let water slowly evaporate to increase the amount of starch in the sauce. (incidentally, this is how you make basically any pasta sauce taste 10x better)

Have you ever done a dense grid search over neural network hyperparameters? Like a *really dense* grid search? It looks like this (!!). Blueish colors correspond to hyperparameters for which training converges, redish colors to hyperparameters for which training diverges.

Cool paper from the AI4D3 workshop at #NeurIPS2023 TopoPool, a learnable graph pooling layer for which the number of output nodes is predicted by the model instead of being a HP. It works by predicting a 1d signal over the nodes and finding local peaks to get clusters. Link 👇🏻
