We review gesture’s integral relationship w/ language & well-documented role in communication, learning, & memory and identify gaps where gesture has been understudied in aphasia, RHD, TBI, & AD. In my own research program, I will be extending our work on gesture & memory to TBI.

A shout out to Luanet White a speech path in South Africa. We have never met but when another SLP asked for a favour you kindly facilitated a phone call between my mum-in-law & her husband after 6 days in hospital with no contact due to COVID restrictions. 🙏
