1/3 Season’s greetings from the #rsyslog project. The holiday period will be a bit quieter for us, but it’s a good time to reflect, clean things up, and prepare what’s next.

So far I do not see how could craft a workflow for manually add some changes to #jules generated PRs. With #OpenAI codex, I can pull the session to my workstation and push it back to BG agent. The same would also be great between @julesagent and @antigravity .

Feature-Request, @julesagent : Either provide capability to copy a regular diff that I can apply with "patch" or add a capability to re-sync with manually changed PRs. Sometimes there are issues that are fixed in seconds manually, but take a lot of agent runtime. .../

The Google @julesagent's memory feature is pretty cool, especially as it generates these memories alongside other tasks. It looks like this can lead to real good code understanding (but in my case it is too early to say - stay tuned). Using Jules on #rsyslog, of course.

Google just quietly dropped an AI that runs on your Mobile and doesn't need the internet. - 270 million parameters. - 100% private. - No servers. - No cloud. - No data leaving your device. It's called FunctionGemma. Released December 18, 2025. And it does something wild: It

nice use case for #rsyslog in a factory / #iot environment: https://t.co/YDT1uyvHUZ Note that UDP is used. There are good reasons for that. Does anybody has an idea what these good reasons are?

As we start deploying our esp32 based devices onto the factory floor, we often run into the need to track down device logs.

This Stanford paper just proved that 90% of prompt engineering advice is wrong. I spent 6 months testing every "expert" technique. Most of it is folklore. Here's what actually works (backed by real research):

Today, I once again worked with Google @antigravity on our mature #rsyslog C code. We have many agent instructions, in multiple levels auf https://t.co/8CltToyn8W files. Antigravity follows instructions very closely, at least in my currently limited tries. Almost all other code

AGENTS.md is a simple, open format for guiding coding agents. Think of it as a README for agents.

as a side-note "digital sovereignty" is not a EU vs. US thing (some seem to frame it that way). It is about offering choices and avoiding vendor lock-in. So that you can make an informed decision on what to do. Talk code and options, not geopolitics.

Now that #github charges for your own custom runners, please let me remind you of buildbot! Deep github/gitlab and your own git integration, among others. https://t.co/6aXxDJg4Zr This is actually digital sovereignty.

I finally got SUSE OBS #rsyslog builds going again. Still some issues with Debian 13, but working on solution. #openEuler is now also supported (feedback would be most welcome) https://t.co/CmMlMkEGYg
