As the post-truth fractal curve begins its iteration, discernment and veracity sever at every scale. Red shows positive feedback loops of disinformation, while blue shows negative loops attempting to stabilize. Black is chaos. Truth doesn't fracture, just our ability to grasp it.

🌀 Mapping the strange attractors of post-truth politics: From altered hurricane maps to urban legends, each incident creates rippling feedback loops. When power demonstrates its ability to override truth, it creates new basins of attraction in our political reality. #Democracy

Traditional econ analysis assumes functioning checks and balances, but that framework no longer holds. What are the odds Powell will still be Fed Chair in 12 months? How likely is the Fed to remain independent? Anticipatory compliance is likely, and tail risks are exponential

Stop trying to find the cheaters and change the rubric for high-quality work. Over time, a good grader will sense the new mean (i.e., AI-generated) vs. original content. The original content gets an A, and the new mean gets a C. #LLMs

It is morally wrong to use AI detectors when they produce false positives that smear students in ways that hurt them and where they can never prove their innocence. Do not use them. https://t.co/cSBZRHgif5

4/ We must remember: true leadership requires defending what’s right and the humanity of all people, not just what’s popular at the time.

3/ Democracy isn’t just about numbers. It’s about values—justice, truth, and the dignity of all people. Supporting the erosion of those principles, even when backed by votes, is dangerous.

2/ As MLK reminded us from a Birmingham jail, laws can uphold injustice. It’s our moral duty to stand up for what’s right, even when it’s not easy or convenient.

1/ Too often we conflate popularity with righteousness. But history teaches us that what’s popular or legal isn’t always just.

Excited to share findings from our recent study. We found that 15.5% of pediatric tracheostomy patients transition to adulthood with their trach. Older age at placement and severe neurocognitive disabilities are key factors.
