Aided by an analysis of over 1M tweets&1K YouTube videos, this is the full story of alt-right radicalization in the Star Wars fandom. From designated white supremacist hate groups to YouTubers, this is how hate attacked the Star Wars sequel trilogy & won: https://t.co/Z3I34cwiHe

The Tim Pool/Tenet Media story is obviously fascinating. But... An FBI affidavit unsealed this week says the Russians are maintaining an active list of 2,800 influencers, 600 of whom are in the US The FBI has not released the list Who else is on it? https://t.co/q7AgexVq7e

Additionally, I would like to point out, @TeamYouTube, that nobody in Star Wars fandom has requested select videos to be removed, simply that a handful of YouTube channels should be demonetized. The lack of clarity in your response to address our real concerns is appalling.

.@TeamYouTube, this is an admission that you have not reviewed our concerns, proven by saying “this video” when there are 10+ videos in question. However, thank you for confirming your inability to take safety seriously. You & your advertisers will be hearing more from us soon.

Hello, @TeamYouTube, the Star Wars community would at the very least appreciate a formal response or update in regards to our well documented and pressing concerns about YouTubers pushing prolonged harassment on your platform.

A handful of YouTubers have jeopardized the safety of our community & the creatives we love for too long. The Star Wars fandom demands action. @TeamYouTube demonetize Nerdrotic, Ryan Kinel - RK Outpost, and Geeks + Gamers. Hate SHOULD NOT be a career path.

If you’re angered by the video above, take action. Ask YouTube to demonetize the hate on their platform with this letter from the Star Wars community.

This will not surprise many in fandom, but here’s another data point: Yes, the same YouTubers who incited harassment against Kelly Marie Tran, Moses Ingram are also connected to harassment against #RingsOfPower cast, a network analysis of 1k tweets finds.

In a recently published @Salon article, @McTelevision asks,"what are complaints about…casting for diversity if not a weaker version of the so-called Great Replacement Theory?" It's a fair question with an easy answer: There is no difference at all

Breaking: Facebook plans to stop shielding politicians from the content rules it applies to everyone else, a sharp reversal from its position that all speech from elected officials is inherently newsworthy. Could have big ramifications globally!
