Yesterday was a step out of sabbatical rest: filming with the brilliant @thefuelcast team for some @baptistuniongb projects coming in the new year! Weather wasn’t great but the people and purpose made it so worthwhile. Grateful to create content that encourages and inspires.

3/3 Healthy leadership grows from healthy habits. They don’t have to be perfect, just intentional. What’s one thing that helps you look after your wellbeing in a full/busy season? #SabbaticalSeason #LeadershipWellbeing #HealthyLeadership #LeadersWhoRest #LeadershipJourney

2/3 It’s become a small but steady reminder that leadership isn’t just about what we give out: it’s also about how we care for what’s within. In ministry and leadership, it’s easy to forget that our bodies and minds are part of how we serve.

Part of my sabbatical rhythm has been getting back into the gym, simply to look after my mind and body. I’ll be honest, some days I really don’t feel like going. But every time I do, I walk out clearer, calmer, and more grounded. 1/3

Then at Hamilton, one song hit differently: “I may not live to see our glory, but I will gladly join the fight.” Make me think of @ProjectViolet1, the ongoing work to ensure women in ministry are seen & can flourish. Change takes time. But each act of courage adds to the story.

Yesterday was one of those days that leaves you full and thoughtful. An afternoon in London at the Ripples of Change service: celebrating Jane Day’s incredible work supporting women in ministry across @baptistuniongb & reflecting honestly on the challenges that remain. 1/2

The trees are turning and the air carries a gentle crispness. Seeing the leaves change reminds me to pause; to step away from the rush and simply take it in. Sometimes, slowing down is exactly what we need. #sabbatical #Montreal #Canada

In leadership and ministry, it’s easy to keep pouring out without pausing. But I’ve learned that healthy leadership needs rhythms of rest and renewal, so we can lead with clarity, creativity, and compassion.

I’m heading off on sabbatical. For the next few weeks, I’ll be stepping back from my usual responsibilities to rest, study, and reset. Sabbatical is such a gift: not just time off, but time with: God, with myself, and with the people and places that refresh my soul.

EPCOT will always be in a state of becoming.” Walt Disney That’s why I love it so much. It reminds me leadership is never “finished” it’s a journey of growing, learning, and creating. You don’t have to be perfect to lead well. You just have to keep becoming.

It was a privilege to be preaching at Waterlooville Baptist Church this morning. At 10:25am we were informed people could smell gas, so we evacuated the building & held the service outside.

It was a privilege to be with the fellowship at Langley Free Baptist Church as they celebrated their 123rd anniversary. Over the years God has been faithful & we looked at how we can continue sharing the good news of Jesus for the next 100 or so years.

Was a joy to preach this morning at my home church, Basingstoke Baptist Church. Exploring how we need the wisdom of others to discern together & the power of forgiveness…
