🔎Using data from 866 universities in 31 European countries, the study analysed decades of patent applications. It also compared these with more than 2,100 universities with no direct patenting activity. The findings? — A deep divide in European innovation. 🧬.4/.

🏛️Between 1980 and 2019, universities from the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, and Switzerland contributed to:. •72% of European university patent applications.•74% of patents granted. The rest of Europe? Much less active. 3/.
