This is (a part of )why I live Thailand. I was 'stranded' here in 2020 during covid. They did everything possible to help those of us stranded. In this case they are even doing more. This is why when I was able to leave, I went home only to retire & return to live in Thailand

I admire Brian, & I'm not going to say the US backed party is not US backed, or it wasn't hiding it's stance to try and get elected, but I do know in r north they definitely didn't vote for them due to US support! It was more a 'give the youth a chance' vote.
UPDATE: US-backed parties in Thailand performed surprisingly bad in Thailand's elections yesterday - though far too many people are still voting for them and solely because of the control they and the US holds over Thailand's own domestic information and education space. It
