Victory Over Japan Day is a day to reflect on World War II and remember the day it came to an end in the Pacific with the surrender of Japan.

Annually, TN animal shelters see an estimated 6.5 million animals come in each year. Abandoning them is illegal in TN and under new law that I was proud to co-sponsor, the excuse that an animal was abandoned close to a shelter will not exempt you from consequences.

The 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship is going on this weekend and over 1,500 volunteers have come out to do their part for our community and the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
