Here is what frustrates me the most about this government shutdown.

The Trump Admin is asking Congress for $200 billion for the War in Iran. Here are some other things we could use $200 billion for to actually help the American people…

RIers are being hit with sky-high energy bills while big corporations post record profits. I am cosponsoring new legislation to aggressively lower costs by cracking down on price gouging, ensuring data centers pay for their energy, & investing in affordable clean energy.

We can and should vote today to fund TSA, FEMA and other critical agencies. But we are not going to throw billions of dollars more at ICE without real reforms.

The American people deserve leaders who serve them, not themselves. The House floor should not be a stock exchange. Pass my bill to ban stock trading in Congress now.

Gas prices in Rhode Island jumped 24 cents per gallon in one week due to Trump’s war in Iran. Once again, working people get screwed by bad choices in Washington - while Big Oil continues to profit.

However corrupt you think Washington is, it’s worse. And it’s why big corporations get a free pass to make billions gouging people with high prices.
