Also !!! Artists should not be spending the money they get from commissions until the commission is done and delivered! And also should not be doing payments through friends/family if they’re taking comms regularly.
Alright--I'll say it: If an artist takes longer than 6 months to deliver your commission they should NOT be accepting work. Yes, sometimes there are extenuating circumstances however they cannot keep you (and your money) in limbo for an undisclosed amount of time.
