Fossils and dinosaurs up next, mulling on whether we can squeeze another big fossil into one of these bays while regularly explaining how to get back to the exit.

Between visitors, some little sustainable design highlights for your mild amusement. Lovely Blaschka models, fun seal, but how’s about the case legs made of old cardboard marketing poster tubes?

If, like me, the current state of things is making you want to run into the sea, maybe try this rare walk out across the sands to Chapel Island instead. Trip to Roy’s Ices not included, but heartily recommended.

Today’s the day. Looking forward to meeting some of the people behind the nominated museums this evening. Everyone has done brilliant work, so wish us (and the judges!) luck.

Job alert! One of our Conservation team is on an exciting secondment at The John Rylands Library, so we’re looking for a temporary Assistant Preventive Conservator to maintain levels of collections care. 👇
