8/ For those interested in the technical side of running a café, the CafeCosmos team has developed a Python library for interacting with MUD worlds such as Cafecosmos. Check it out here:.

7/ Going even deeper, as a fully onchain game, all of CafeCosmos' world state and actions are openly accessible under an open API. Savvy café owners can create proprietary dashboards and analytics, automate crop and café management with scripts and AI café managers.

6/ So not only do cafe owners have to be constantly on the look out for the most profitable recipes, there’s also scope for sabotage (driving up supply), MEV (frontrunning a reward claim), deals and diplomacy (price fixing, limiting supply, and monopoly agreements).

5/ The redistributor favors the recipes being cooked the least, made using appliances being used the least. Scarcity drives demand!. This means that players have to pick wisely which recipes they make to maximize their earnings.

4/ Here’s how its economy works: all the proceeds from land sale periodically goes into a redistributor contract, which distributes funds into different recipe pools, ultimately paying for the food and drinks that you make.

3/ With your café set up, you can start cooking recipes and earn ETH rewards when NPC patrons enjoy your food and drinks. CafeCosmos might look cute and fluffy on the surface, but the café business can be filled with cut-throat competition and game theoretical intrigue!

2/ In CafeCosmos, you start off by buying a small plot of land, which you can use to grow crops, raise livestock, and collect resources. Using the resources, you can craft materials and start to build out your cafe: from chairs and tables, to blenders and ovens.
