To document my work and some of the new features for Air Lookout 2.0 (release date TBD!… but “soon”), I’m going to start an update thread in the style of @stroughtonsmith and @JPEGuin

This week at @stripe Sessions the platform team has shipped so many things that make building on Stripe better! A couple of highlights from my amazing team: Sandboxes for all Test mode is finally unleashed! With Sandboxes, you can create multiple safe Sandbox environments to

I’m pretty new to CloudKit, but my iOS and visionOS builds all automatically switched over to using the production CloudKit database when uploaded to TestFlight… except for my mac build. Have others ran into this before?

I'm particularly happy with the focused reader mode, especially in visionOS. Being fully immersed in an environment while listening to music and swiping through posts is my new favorite way to catch up on my favorite blogs.

I've opened up 100 spots for people to try it on TestFlight before it is released on the App Store. Check it out and let me know what you think!

I've been working on an RSS feed reader because I have very specific opinions about how an app like this should be. It's also a great excuse to work on a visionOS app. https://t.co/tbjp9SDMyv

I think we’re getting close to a 1.0. Anyone interested in trying it out on TestFlight?

Pretty great to lay back under the clouds and catch up on RSS feeds in an immersive environment.

Really happy with the progress I was able to make on my RSS reader for visionOS this weekend. It’s tough to beat the focused experience of reading blog posts under the stars by Mt. Hood.

I'll continue this thread as a build journal. In the meantime, how do you usually manage the location of photos taken with your "real" cameras?

Right now, I have a working proof of concept macOS app that can read/ write a location to image metadata. But I'm not sure what platform this app will ultimately live on.

Plus, it's kind of interesting to see what and where I took photos. Here's a closeup of the trace of photos I took during a hike in Fruita, Colorado recently.

Now, with my app, I just need to start a walk on my Apple Watch and I know that any photos I take during will have extremely accurate location data.

So, over the long weekend I started a new little side project to improve this. My app takes the timestamp of a photo and finds an exact location in a GPX track from something like a recorded walk with an Apple Watch.

I find it so very frustrating to get accurate location data into photos taken with a non-smartphone camera. Camera "companion" apps are always terrible, the location is inaccurate and I always have to reopen the app because iOS kills it after a few minutes.

Just got off a call with Reddit about the API and new pricing. Bad news unless I come up with 20 million dollars (not joking). Appreciate boosts. https://t.co/FliuNCinpZ
