The Israeli military is continuing with a new offensive in Gaza, despite possible ceasefire talks with Hamas in Qatar. Weekend's @rebeccakesby1 spoke to Asma, a teacher and mother of two daughters who is in Jabalia, in the north of Gaza. https://t.co/Uhjl8yClOt

What’s interesting in UK at mo is that after years of serious political polarisation - Putin is playing a unifying role. All the main parties support Ukraine and want Putin punished for starting the war. I can’t think of a time so many Uk politicians agreed with each other.

I saw this last night it’s now going viral. It’s v interesting as European leaders are being so careful about their language for obvious diplomatic reasons - but French centre-right Senator, Claude Malhuret, says here what many leaders are probably thinking.

Re watching the full Oval Office spectacle tonight, the line from Trump about 34 mins in where he says he spoke to Putin a couple of days ago, and then adds he’s had numerous conversations with him, seems very significant.

What’s also interesting about this clip is that at 13” in Vance says “and then Putin invaded Ukraine and then destroyed a significant amount of the country”. So he DOES know, and publicly acknowledges, who started this war. (even if he didn’t mean to say it?)

The most telling video. Everyone wants a ceasefire, so Zelensky explains what became of the last one. For this, Vance brands him disrespectful. Zelensky’s crime wasn’t disrespect. It was refusing to pay homage, telling the truth, and answering back.
