A city cannot simply ignore state law, even if they believe mutilating and permanently sterilizing children is moral behavior. Thank you @AGAndrewBailey for reminding KC law enforcement of their duty to protect the most vulnerable!.
Children deserve evidence-based care, not irreversible interventions already rejected by health authorities in many countries. I reminded the KC Board of Police Commissioners of their duty to enforce the law protecting children from experimental gender transition interventions.

I had the pleasure of joining @scottfaughn this morning to discuss the last week of session and Senate Bill 49. During my time as a legislator, I have consistently opposed omnibus bills. Unfortunately, toward the end of legislative session, we begin to see more and more bills.

The House has passed my bill, Senate Bill 49 et al. This bill prohibits the chemical mutilation and physical castration of minors. It is now headed to the Governor’s desk. Thank you to all who voted in favor of this bill.

While I am happy for the SCOTUS ruling (reversing the 1973 Roe decision), If only a representative or senator had introduced legislation which would have corrected the court’s decision, we wouldn’t have had to wait 49 years to celebrate (millions of people would be alive today)!.
