Who lied more, the train robbers or the lawmen who caught them? yes.

However, I'm heavily biased by the fact that everyone in the Sontag/Evans story lied like it was their godgiven life purpose handed down from on high.

Sometimes I think we should just give up the pretense of a nonfiction section.

It's extremely sad how people do phenomenal work that doesn't get the credit it deserves.

One thing I'm learning about studying outlaws is that you do NOT want a bestseller. You want something a university press or a historical society published. Often this will be out of print.

And here's the data I compiled on the characters in RDR2. Quite a lot of info here; if you're an academic and know anyone who might find it useful, do pass it on.

So much of what's happening in the U.S. right now is a refusal to face history with honesty. Let's take a closer look at the idea that RDR2 is fairly historically accurate. Who's allowed to exist in the game, and who's cut out? Who gets a voice? A name?

Doing more research and just came across the full-ass name "Leonard Summers" in a record that seems totally unrelated to anything. No idea what to do with that lol.
