Very encouraging news out of the @Interior regarding the NPR-A. Thank you to @lisamurkowski, @SenDanSullivan, and @RepNickBegich for their work on this issue and for inviting Cabinet-level officials to Alaska to see exactly why this action to rescind this rule is necessary.
I thank Secretary Burgum for listening to Alaskans and recognizing the explicit legal purpose of our petroleum reserve. This is a victory not only for those who support responsible development, but also those who believe in the rule of law.

On this day in 1977, the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) was completed! 50 years ago, RDC organized with a single focus - completing the TAPS. More than 18 billion barrels have traveled along this 800-mile long pipeline since its construction, involving some 70,000 workers.
