As we wrap up the year in review, there were 20 new single season team records set this spring!

Finally, freshman Ryan Paul set the new single season appearance record for the Statesmen. Paul appeared in 18 games with 17 out of the pen to set the new single season mark. Congratulations Ryan!

Next up, freshmen Luke Sweeney made a quick impact on the mound, earning 5 wins to set the new single season win record. Congratulations Luke!

On the pitching side, sophomore pitcher Jackson Hulcher set the new single season innings record with 56 innings pitched. Congratulations Jackson!

Wrapping up our records on the offensive side, freshman Myles Holmes made an immidiate impact on the record books, setting new single season records with 58 hits, 12 home runs, 108 total bases and 5 sacrifice hits. Congratulations Myles!

Next up, Bluefield commit Jordan Ramsey set five new single season records for the Statesmen. These included 46 games played, 200 plate appearances, 171 at bats, 16 doubles and 42 runs batted in. Congratulations Jordan!

First up for our new individual records, sophomore Macho Santiago capped off another great season at the plate, setting new single season records in runs scored at 49 and stolen bases at 22. Congratulations Macho!

Our next All Region athlete gained recognition in the Region 10 All-Defensive team, sophomore Jordan Ramsey! Ramsey appeared in all 47 games, amassing a 1.000 fielding percentage in 104 chances with 3 outfield assists. Congratulations Jordan!

First up, second team All-Region 10 honoree Myles Holmes! In his first year with the Statesmen, Myles hit .358 with 12 home runs and 41 runs batted in over 43 games. The freshmen was active one the bases as well, stealing 19 bases on the season. Congratulations Myles!

This weekend we’ll be highlighting the individual and team accomplishments from this past season. Among these are 16 new individual single season records to go along with 20 new single season team records, all helping to set the new single season win record of 23 wins!
