First post from MLR in a month doesn't say much, but sets a "minimum of 16" out of a match day 23 need to be US-eligible. That's different from the previous rumor of 5 import slots. Still a lot of unknowns heading towards 2026.

AJ MacGinty sidelined for several months.
🐻 Bristol's injury update is tough reading one week in to the PREM. ❌ AJ MacGinty confirmed to have ruptured his achilles and has had surgery this week. ❌ Harry Randall suffered a proximal hamstring injury and will have surgery later this week, with a return in the new year.

Indeed. As we celebrate the women's World Cup efforts and the men's qualification... the future of Canadian rugby is very uncertain. There's no money to build domestic pro competitions and nobody overseas (or next door) seems interested in throwing us a bone.
Troubling time for 🇨🇦 Canadian rugby future. On the men's side there is the 🇺🇸 USA head coach urging reductions of their number in MLR. On the women's side there is the 🏴 England head coach urging reductions in PWR. Both would severely harm Canadian rugby.

Still a great tournament from Canada. Will never forget that win over NZ. Thanks to Kevin Rouet and staff, and to all the players. Hopefully this inspires some future Canadian World Cup stars.

Nerves? Exhaustion? or just a bad matchup? Sadly we're just not seeing the same Canada today. Hasn't happened at the set piece and England have dominated the collisions. Too many unforced errors at key moments. Tough to watch. Anyway well played England.
