I genuinely believe dropping Ronaldo, Sancho and De Gea for Cavani, James and Henderson would have put us on course for a title challenge in that season, with Pogba covering the LW until Rashford got up to full fitness after his operation. #mufc
@_MUFCJames He'd have worked better with Ronaldo. I'm sure Ole could've worked with De Gea, Deano, Heaton Dalot, AWB, Shaw, Telles Maguire, Varane, Lindelof, Bailly, Jones McTominay, Fred, Matic, Pogba, Bruno, VDB Ronaldo, Cavani, James, Rashford, Martial, Sancho, Greenwood

“The less movement you have, the easier it is to man-mark.” There’s a reason that Amorims only solution to M2M presses is hoofing it https://t.co/2VRhLDjlbC
Positional specialist coaches like Guardiola have explained that the latest versions of man-to-man pressing are forcing more direct play. The less movement you have, the easier it is to man-mark. To keep control of the ball you're gonna need to move more. Coaches like Kompany...

Not enough people talk about how Manchester United had little to no plan at all for Joshua Zirkzee and his strengths. Misprofiled him, wasted so much resource on a young player and let his career decline. I hope he plays under Gasperini soon.

It won't matter who plays in midfield if the manager's game plan involves progressing the ball by bypassing the midfield anyway. #mufc
🚨 NEW: Adam Wharton has overtaken Carlos Baleba on Manchester United’s list of targets for midfield. Ruben Amorim is understood to be a big admirer of Wharton directness when he gets the opportunity to pass forward rather than sideways. [@PeteHall86, @theipaper]

Amorim - my top scorer shouldn't play. I would rather play my GK coach. Emery - Plays Rashford ahead of his top scorer. Tuchel - Plays Rashford in his prefered role and platforms him. Flick - Has Rashford as highest G/A for Barca 🤔

I’m not supporting Rashford but saying a player who scored 138 goals for United can’t handle the pressure is pure bullshit
He blames everyone else but himself. He was deployed at CF and on the LW to help him perform and he stopped putting in any effort but here he is blaming the club for being shit. Some players clearly can't handle the pressure of being United players. Rashford tops that list.

Smart people change their opinions when presented with irrefutable evidence that challenges their previously held assumptions (no doubt filled by Amorim’s/United’s media crusade) Only the fools reject new information and double down.

@HallNM21 @ravers_parekh Except we didn’t. Fans like you abused players like McTominay, Fred, AWB etc out of the club, just to have some fancy foreign names like Dalot and Ugarte start for us.

United fans: the whole club and operation post Fergie has been very inconsistent Rashford: I agree United fans: woah woah woah

Manchester United everyone. The club where a manager who finishes 15th and is in 10th gets more respect than a manager who finished 3rd and 2nd. The club where a £55m flop with 7 G/A in 2.5 yrs gets more love than an local academy grad with 200+. The upside down club. #mufc
Giggs is spot on—but here's the uncomfortable truth nobody wants to say out loud. Ole unintentionally created the culture that's destroying us. Remember Mourinho holding Pogba accountable? That was the last time we had real standards. Then Ole arrived and everything changed.

This idea that teams press 24/7 in modern day football and never did previously is such nonsense Especially jarring when it’s coming from Man Utd fans Wtf y’all think Fergie was doing with a forward line of Rooney and Tevez? Ronaldo himself was a pressing monster
