In December I celebrated 5 years of finishing cancer treatment — a milestone that meant the cancer was unlikely to return.
Last week, I learned the cancer is back.
I tried to write about what it’s felt like.

@ArleyMartinez70
Tonight was the final press run of
@thecrimson
's 149th Guard — my last as President. It’s been the absolute honor of a lifetime to get to helm this 149-year-old ship for a year — and to be the first Latino/a person in history to do so. 1/🧵
Aclaro un trino. Carolina Sanín dice que

It was a 3:39 a.m. closeout this morning for the first issue of

@raquelco15
@hectorabadf

one of my favorite sounds ever is the sound of a crisp new newspaper being read over breakfast for an hour or so… The popping out of it, the folding, the scribbling on the crossword… I hope it never goes out of fashion in our digital world. It is too romantic. 🗞️♥️
We tapped into the strength of tradition without letting ourselves be tied to the past. We radically changed our operations, shifting to a digital-first model while giving our new weekly print product new life.

We stood up for what we believed in! We had the first full in-person year since 2019!

At Harvard, we frequently encounter the names of enslavers like Mather and Winthrop. We rarely encounter the names of the individuals they enslaved. Today, as copies of this paper are distributed across campus, we hope to change that.

For nearly 150 years, The Crimson has been committed to holding power to account at Harvard, informing our readers while training the next generation of journalists. For most of our history, printing a daily paper was the fastest and most impactful way to fulfill that purpose.
