I don't buy this theory that Pak leaders easily fool US leaders. So I find it perplexing that US would spend any money on Pakistan, even if its for oil exploration purposes. Sometimes I wonder all this cozying up with Pak is for pressurizing India.

I trust Modi to handle this tariff thing. I suspect he will wait this out for 2-3 months. At least till Bihar elections. Then after that India will give into some demands but also secure some of its own.

I suspect, UK allowed Prussia to become the German empire as a way to keep their rival France in check. we see a similar pattern with that of US and China in last 30 years. US made up with China to take advantage of the Sino-Soviet split.

+1 I have been following this rule since I landed in US. Same for Pakistani products.
Thereās a very popular Pakistani restaurant local to me. Iām sure the owner is a decent person, sheās definitely running a good business. But since remittances make a good chunk of Pakistanās economy, and that money funds attacks on India, we donāt eat there to skip contributing.
