Yes, many of you rightly observed here Hanumanji is without a gada. Valmiki Ramayana makes No mention of Gada with Vanaras. Many murtis/images pre 14-15th century are like this(eg. consecrated by Vyasarajaji of Madhava Sampraday or Vijaynagar times ones). How imagery evolves :)
