macos 26 is adding ios live activities to the menu bar. It's a dream when you're on your machine on public transport. You can find out when your stop is / when to board / etc. extremely easily.

Reminder: Context window length only matters if all the context drives you toward your task. If you add lots of pointless context (all of the LOTR books) you're going to get a lot of crap (your 4th book will be very arbitrary.).
Claude Sonnet 4 now supports 1 million tokens of context on the Anthropic API—a 5x increase. Process over 75,000 lines of code or hundreds of documents in a single request.

So I haven't worked in an open office now for 2+ years. Open Offices are terrible for me. If I had to choose between open office and home, I choose home every time. I recently got an office in manhattan, and a solo office with a door that closes > home.

Claude Code + @fortelabs 's PARA / PKM stuff is insanely useful. Like I always wanted to do the second brain thing, but it was too annoying to keep going. Now, I have a robot that does the second brain stuff, and the PARA stuff helps it organize really effectively.

sometimes when claude code does a really good job i want to compliment it but then i remember that just costs anthropic pointless tokens so i think silence is the best compliment.

If a startup is developing its own model, I think it's LARP-ing an AI lab. Inference time optimization > models or fine tuning so much.

I wonder if anyone has tried to distill "ai voice" into a style guide. $PRAISING_PHRASE! $SYCOPHANTIC_EXPLANATION. That's probably a good start for Claude at least.
