On the gas front, the switch is due to happen tomorrow. The account page tells me that I've submitted a reading, but that I also need to submit a reading. Maybe that's down to the "00000" reading. We don't use much gas so the reading is still 0. Wish me luck!

I can use an alternative form to submit readings, which I've done, but I don't have much confidence it will work. The page had identifiers for the gas meter, but nothing for the electricity meter.

Another call to support and they don't know what has happened, but reactivate the switch, which is of course delayed somewhat. I have to give another reading some days later. When that comes around (today), I try to submit a reading... and they don't have any details of my meter.

I get an email to say my electricity switch is complete, hurrah! The email also said they hadn't had a reading from me. Ok... so I try and do that again, but the account page says my switch is delayed. Under that it says the switch has been cancelled. Very clear messaging there.

I provided an electricity meter reading and a few days later, as requested, a gas meter reading. We have new smart meters and the gas reading was 0, which is possibly flagged as "no reading" and confused a support person I was talking to at one point.

The first problem was bank account details I gave doesn't allow direct debits. The first I know of it is the message to say that my switch has been cancelled. No option to add a different account. A quick call to support fixed that.

That's quite a lot of bandwidth to pay for. If I restricted subscriptions to '#' I'm sure the usage would plummet, but it would be a shame to do that. What do you think? Restrict '#' so you can't discover interesting topics, but the client limit can be bumped right up?

At the moment it's using a solid 16TB/month outgoing and I pay a flat rate. I experimented with a cloud provider a little while ago and was happy to bump the client limit way up, but the outgoing bandwidth usage was looking at more like 40-50TB/month.
