We can and should celebrate America’s greatness, but true greatness comes from telling the whole story. History isn’t meant to make us comfortable. It’s meant to help us remember, reflect, and do better. Only by confronting the scars of the past can we heal and move forward.

I voted YES on the revised expansion of CT’s Trust Act. It protects due process, limits unnecessary ICE entanglement, and ensures immigrants can seek help without fear while still allowing law enforcement to report serious convictions. Congress should act, but here we are.

Tonight, I voted yes on HB 7065 to decriminalize small amounts of psilocybin. Veterans, trauma survivors, and the terminally ill are finding hope in this treatment. They deserve support, not criminal records.
