Everybody has a precarious employment in academia story, mine got ‘slightly’ less precarious this week, both a privilege and a relief. A job as lecturer in social sciences at WSU, and name on the door to boot.

76% of Australian population either support government policy toward people seeking asylum or think it should be harsher. This hard line policy toward ppl seeking asylum by successive governments seemingly accepted by majority of population.
