How I started making indie games: - Had book as a kid called the nes atlas. Buncha maps of nes games - loved looking at them and drawing my own maps - middle school find rpg maker - grade 9 find gamemaker - makes games for fun through HS - get back into it during lockdown

These are the only pictures I could find that look like they were taken on a crt. Seems like the effect is working,pretty well. The chests use the same vertical dither effect for their shadows

I often see the sonic waterfall example brought up as an example of pseudo transparency on CRTs but I just saw these shadows from Twinkle Tail on Genesis that appears to use the exact same effect of verticals bars rather than checkerboard dither. I just thought it was cool
