The thing abt "don't use black for shading" is that if you use black for soft shading it WILL indeed make your drawing look muddy as hell BUT if you use black for rlly dark and defined shadows it'll turn into the coolest thing anyone's ever made

NO, I DON'T STUDY COMPOSITION AND COLOR THEORY, I CLOSE MY EYES AND IMAGINE WHICH COLORS LOOK COOL AND IF IT DOESN'T END GOOD ON THE FINAL PIECE I KILL MYSELF.

I don’t “grayscale”. I don’t sketch, i don’t plan out the composition, i do not use the lasso tool to fill out things with colour. I JUST EYEBALL EVERYTHING. And if I hate the result, I KILL MYSELF.
