GM everyone! We’re thrilled to announce that the codebase for Quix is now open-source. This includes the frontend and backend code for the NFT marketplace, the NFT indexer, and the launchpad. Now any developer will be able to deploy or extend any part of Quix!

Thanks for understanding, and know that we remain committed to keeping the community updated as we work through our transition to an open sourced Quix codebase.

The remaining ~140K OP tokens allocated to our trading rewards program will be returned to the Optimism Foundation, where they will be re-allocated to support new NFT projects on Optimism and help creators and collectors migrate to alternative platforms.

As Quix operations wind down and we continue work to open source our software for the community, we are ending trading rewards on Quix, effective immediately.

With a token grant to retroactively reward our contributions and support ongoing community and platform maintenance through the end of February 2023, the Optimism Foundation has enabled the open sourcing of Quix’s code on behalf of the Optimism Community.

We’re so grateful for the community support and adoption we’ve seen over the past year. We’re proud of what we built and how it’s grown. Today we’re announcing that Quix as a company is winding down; now we turn to the Optimism Collective to usher Quix into its next phase.
