Bug fix releases: FastAPI 0.124.3 and 0.124.4 🐛 The highlight: YuriiMotov fixed support for @pydantic aliases (validation and serialization) in multiple edge cases. 🚀 If there are no new reports, FastAPI will drop support for Python 3.8 next week. ⚰️ https://t.co/LfpZnNf9MT

Dropping support for Python 3.8 in @FastAPI will help with several things. And then dropping support for @pydantic v1 right after will unlock a bunch of improvements that can be done only with Pydantic v2. 🤩

Here's how @FastAPI uses @pydantic to work, you declare normal types once and get 5 or 6 feature from that, for your live app (instead of only 2 and just for development). 🤓
You've seen @FastAPI popping up here and there & you're still wondering how it works? Its creator, Sebastián (@tiangolo) explains... 👀

Nice win with the @pydantic #logfire MCP server in @cursor_ai. Quickly generated a SQL query to see whether database operations took longer after we downsized our database instance at @radoverlay. Turns out we were over-provisioned.

Something must be wrong ... it's been 4 hours since we announced a price increase, and we haven't had a single critical or hostile response. Just comments like this. Is this thing even working?
TL;DR: We're updating Logfire pricing effective January 1, 2026. What's not changing: - Free tier continues to have 10M spans/logs/month - Overage rate: still $2/million spans New structure: - Personal: $0/mo - 1 seat, 3 projects - Team: $49/mo - 5 seats, 5 projects, 10M
