At least some of those loans are tied to World Class properties in Austin, including the former 3M campus in Northwest Austin and a property at the MetCenter business park. Paul will be released subject to conditions. An arraignment has been set for June 15 at 11 a.m.

Paul, the founder of World Class Holdings, was booked June 8 in Travis County. He stands accused of vastly overstating cash balances to financial institutions related to multimillion-dollar loans. The Feds are seeking forfeiture of properties/money judgment of $172M.

BREAKING: A PIO with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office just confirmed to me that embattled Austin real estate investor Nate Paul was booked in Travis County Jail today at 4:25 p.m. He’s in on a federal warrant, according to the source.
